Synopsis In this dramatic adaptation of the classic French novel Dangerous Liaisons letters are deployed as weapons in a dangerous game of seduction and revenge. Sarah Merteuil, jilted by her lover who leaves her to marry a younger woman, enlists the aid of the rakish Stephan Valmont to exact vengeance. The Mission: seduce the naïve virgin and bring shame to both her and her future husband. But this task proves almost too easy for the experienced Valmont, who has another, more challenging conquest in mind (and Merteuil can't resist getting in on the action). The Bet: seduce a devoted, morally upstanding wife and bring proof of the conquest…in writing. The Prize: a night of passion between the two former lovers, Merteuil and Valmont.
